ABOUT
ABOUT ME
Born in rural Northern Michigan, Craig was raised as a “video store kid,” which led to his love of the medium, especially the direct-to-video movies of the 80s and 90s. After graduating high school, he spent his undergrad in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area, followed by a 5-year stint in Los Angeles, working as a projectionist with the world-famous Chinese Theatre. Currently Craig resides in Detroit with his wife, daughter, three-legged dog, and overweight cat.
WHAT I'VE DONE
Craig earned recognition in undergrad when the Eastern Michigan University Theatre Department created an award based on his hard work and dedication to the craft. During that same time his award-winning entertainment company, Sad Tire Theatre gained statewide success.
While in LA, Craig became a member of National Lampoon’s Lemmings, graduated from the Second City Training Center Conservatory, worked closely with the Pack Theater, and completed Clu Gulager’s Film Acting Workshop. Most recently Craig received his MFA in screenwriting with the David Lynch Graduate School of Cinematic Arts.
WHAT I DO
Craig has been credited with a distinctive artistic voice by peers, mentors, and reviewers through his strong characters and dialogue, work with horror and dark comedy, and vivid surrealistic worlds. Veteran screenwriter, Neal Marshall Stevens explained Craig's style as, “he creates grounded characters in a surreal world.” Famed actor, Clu Gulager stated in his opinion, "Craig has the potential to become one of America's leading filmmakers."
When he's not working on his own creative endeavors, Craig writes regularly for several major horror publications.
